March at the Curtis'

MARCH

Robby:

Robby has been busy with school work. He is excited that he is getting close to being finished. We found out in February that he will be going to Hawaii for an internship. He will be gone the whole summer. We purchased his plane tickets which made it so real. He leaves on May 18th and comes back the middle of August. He is a little nervous about it but very excited.

On March 15th Robby had a neat oppurtunity to participate in St. Baldricks day. St. Baldricks is an organization that raises money for kids with Cancer. Robby volunteered to have his head shaved to help raise money. Here are some pics of the event.

Jessica:

As for me I am trying to decide what to do for the summer. I have the choice of staying here or going to Utah. I might even have a chance for a promotion at work. I have not yet decided for sure. Work is going so well. I love my job. I get to do the events and Demos. We had a fun Jewelry making class. We made some real cute things.

I am really starting to make friends at work. There are two girls there that have become good friends of mine.

St. Patricks Day:

As most of you know Robby loves the holiday. He always goes all out for it. This year I helped Robby put Green in his hair. I had to work so I didn't do too much. I made Earrings and put green ribbon in my hair. It turned out to be a fun day though.

Our San Franscico day:

On the 23rd of March Robby and I went to San Fransisco for the day. We started out the day at the Oakland temple. We did an endowment session. After the session Robby was changing into his church clothes and he got his head stuck!!! Of course I laughed so hard when he told me about it.

After that we headed over the bridge to Colma to visit a cemetery where Joshua Abraham Norton was buried. Robby wanted to go and visit the grave for awhile so we finally did it. Joshua Norton declared himself as a Imperial Majesty Emperor Norton I who was citizen of San Francisco, California, who in 1859 proclaimed himself "Emperor of these United States" and subsequently "Protector of Mexico". Robby was so extremly excited to go there. While at the cemetery the sprinklers came on and Rob had to run out of the way.

After the cemetery we spent a couple of hours in San Fransisco. We got yummy Crab Sandwiches from a place near pier 39. Then we went to the Antique coin operated museum. It was so neat. They had a bunch of old Arcade games. It is free to get in. You just pay for what you want to play. It was fun to play old Arcade games.

It was so nice to spend the day together. We have both been so busy. It was just nice and relaxing to get away for the day.

Life is really good for the Curtis' :)
